Hosting (web hosting)

A service that stores a website's files on a server so the site is always online.

What is web hosting?

Hosting is the service that stores your site's files on servers connected to the internet around the clock, so it loads whenever someone visits. Think of the domain as your address and hosting as the building where your business actually sits.

It can be shared hosting, or a platform that serves static sites and on-demand functions. In our plans, the first year is included, and from the second year on it falls under the annual renewal.

Why it matters to your business

If the hosting goes down, the site does not load, and the day's sales go with it. Sometimes a business finds out too late that its site depended on an account under someone else's name, or on a monthly bill nobody was paying, so it is worth knowing exactly where your site is hosted and who is responsible for it.

How we use this at Damorus

Every project goes wherever serves it best. La Roca is a static site on Vercel, with no server of its own, and keeping it running costs almost nothing. URG Technology lives on HostGator with its logic on Supabase. Küsten Elite sits as a subpath of a project that was already paid for, so its extra hosting cost next to nothing. Across all of our plans, the first year of hosting and the domain is included, and from the second year on there is an annual renewal.
