SEO (search engine optimization)
Work to make a page appear high in Google's results without paying for ads.
What is SEO, and why does it matter?
SEO, search engine optimization, is the work that gets Google to show your site when someone searches for what you offer. It covers the technical side, like speed, structure, structured data, and the sitemap, as well as the content: pages that answer what people are searching for, in the words they actually use.
Good SEO brings in customers who show up on their own, without paying for every click, though it takes time, since results build up at the search engines' own pace. Every site we deliver ships ready for Google to understand and rank it.
Why it matters to your business
Someone searching on Google already has the need, so they tend to be closer to buying than someone who stumbles on an ad by chance. Showing up in those searches brings in traffic that doesn't dry up the moment the ad budget runs out, and it's worth building from day one.
How we use this at Damorus
At La Roca, each of the thirteen product pages has its own title, description, canonical address, and structured data, because someone searching "piedra muñeca en Girardot" needs to land on that exact stone's page. The sitemap is submitted to Search Console, and according to its own dashboard the site gets steady traffic without paying for ads. We also learned that this kind of traffic grows slowly, and that a website on its own still needs marketing.
