01Purpose and Scope
This Cookie Policy informs users of the Damorus Projects website and its associated pages (the "Site") about the cookies and similar technologies used while browsing, their purposes, their legal basis, and the means available to manage them.
It complements the Privacy Policy, which governs the processing of any personal data obtained through those technologies.
02Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small data files that a website stores on the user's device through the browser, allowing it to remember information about the visit. Similar technologies serve equivalent functions, such as browser local storage and session storage. In this Cookie Policy, the term "cookies" covers both.
Based on their duration, cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when the browser or tab is closed, or persistent cookies, which remain on the device for a set period or until the user deletes them. Based on who manages them, they may be first-party, when managed by the Site, or third-party, when managed by a different entity.
03Categories Used
Without prejudice to what is stated below about third-party services and content, the Site uses only the following categories of cookies:
- ▸Strictly necessary: these enable browsing, security, and the technical operation of the Site, and retain the user's decision on the cookie notice and the state of interactive processes or demos the user starts, with that information staying on their device. They may include cookies implemented by hosting or security providers to protect the Site against automated or malicious traffic.
- ▸Preference or functionality cookies: these remember choices the user makes, such as the currency used to display reference prices, or prevent certain display elements from repeating during the same visit.
05Legal Basis
Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 July 2002 (the "ePrivacy Directive"), as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC, and under Section 25 of the German Telecommunications-Digital-Services-Data-Protection Act (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, "TDDDG"), storing information on a user's device and accessing information already stored there do not require consent when strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user.
On that basis, the Site uses strictly necessary cookies and preference cookies that reflect an express choice by the user or are limited to the current session. Any other cookie will only be used with the user's prior, informed consent, which the user may withdraw at any time as easily as it was given.
In Colombia, when the use of cookies involves the processing of personal data, Law 1581 of 2012 (Colombia) and its implementing regulations apply. In all cases, the processing of personal data arising from the use of cookies is governed by the Privacy Policy.
06Retention Period
Session cookies are deleted when the browser or tab is closed. Persistent cookies are kept for as long as necessary for their purpose and, where the mechanism used supports an expiration date, for a maximum of twelve (12) months. Information stored in the browser's local storage, which does not expire automatically, remains on the device until the user deletes it. Third-party cookies are retained for the periods those third parties set.
07Third-Party Services and Content
The Site may contain links to third-party services or embed content they provide, such as instant messaging services, meeting-scheduling calendars, maps, or fonts. By following an external link, loading a page that embeds such content, or interacting with it, the user's browser may connect to those third parties' servers, which may receive technical data, such as the IP address, and use their own cookies.
Damorus Projects does not control those third parties' cookies or their subsequent processing, which is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. Reviewing those policies before using their services is recommended.
08Managing, Blocking, and Deleting Cookies
Users can allow, block, or delete cookies through their browser settings, generally under the privacy, security, or site data sections. Deleting a site's data usually removes both its cookies and its local and session storage.
Common browsers also allow blocking third-party cookies and browsing in private mode, where stored information is deleted at the end of the session. Specific instructions are available in each browser's help section, and settings must be configured separately on each browser and device the user uses.
09Consequences of Disabling Cookies
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of parts of the Site, such as remembering the user's decision on the cookie notice or the continuity of processes the user has started. Blocking or deleting preference cookies means the Site will not remember the user's chosen options and will show the default settings. As a general rule, disabling cookies does not prevent access to the information published on the Site.
10Changes and Effective Date
Damorus Projects may amend this Cookie Policy to reflect regulatory, technical, or operational changes, or the adoption of new technologies. The current version will be published on the Site with its last update date, and when the change requires it, the user's consent will be requested again.
This Cookie Policy is effective as of September 16, 2026. Questions about it may be sent to the email address Alejandro@damorus.com.
