AI agents

An AI that takes a task, splits it into steps, and completes it by itself using tools.

What is an AI agent, and what is it good for in a business?

An AI chat answers what you ask and then waits. An agent takes a goal, breaks the work into steps, uses tools (opening files, writing code, running tests, checking a page) and reviews its own results before handing them in. Several agents can work at the same time on different parts of a project, coordinated by one lead agent.

Directing agents looks a lot like directing people. They need a clearly written assignment and someone to review every deliverable, because they make mistakes too, and sometimes assume something they never actually checked.

Why it matters to your business

With well-directed agents, a small team can take on projects that used to need a lot more people, and a small business can automate tasks that eat up hours of its staff's time today. What separates a useful result from a half-finished one is usually the assignment itself: how clearly it is written, and who reviews what comes back.

How we use this at Damorus

This is how we built this site: a master document divides the work among several agents, each with a closed assignment and written rules, and every deliverable gets checked before it is merged in. This glossary came out of that process. In URG Technology, before working with several agents, our team directed a single AI through 293 logged tasks, with one rule that prevented a lot of self-deception: nothing counts as done until it is verified in the actual code. Today that method is one of our services.
