What we mean by small businesses
A small business, to us, already has people working, customers who return, and a way of doing things that works, even if it is spread across chats, spreadsheets, notebooks, and the owner’s memory. Landing the first customer stopped being the problem. The challenge now is order: that two people can see the same information at the same time, and that the business does not depend on a single computer.
We do not size your business by a government category here either. What matters is that the day-to-day is starting to outgrow the tools you built it on.

What you’ll usually need
- 01
A website that shows off what you already do well
Many small businesses have a great in-person reputation and an old or template-based website. We organize the offer and add pricing when it makes sense. Contact stays one tap away on the phone.
- 02
Selling online without losing control of inventory
A store with payments has to hold the product the moment someone pays. In URG’s store, every unique piece of equipment gets reserved on the server so it never sells twice.
- 03
Moving on from spreadsheets or old software
When everything lives on one machine, a hard drive failure can take the business’s history with it. At Atlantic, two or more computers work on the same data, even offline, and the information is backed up in three places.
- 04
Knowing what actually brings in customers
A dashboard of your own shows how many visits you get, where from, and what buttons people tap. That tells you which post or channel is actually worth investing in.

How much does a website for a small business cost?
It depends on what it needs to do. A launch site on our Silver plan starts at $1.000.000 COP$500 USD€500 EUR. If you need an online store, a dashboard to manage your own content, or several connected devices, the usual fit is the Gold plan, starting at $4.000.000 COP$1,500 USD€1,500 EUR. The scope and price are put in writing before we start.
Should I use Shopify or a store built for my business?
To get moving fast, a platform like Shopify works well. A custom store makes sense once you need to control payment methods, the dashboard, or rules a template cannot handle. At URG, for example, reserving unique units of stock and accepting Colombia-specific payment methods like Bre-B, with proof of payment, were designed around how that business actually sells.
Can old software be replaced without stopping the work?
Yes. At Atlantic, we read the previous program table by table and kept the keyboard shortcuts the staff already knew by heart. The new system fully replaced the 1996 one, and staff kept working at the same speed from day one.
Can you connect the website to WhatsApp or other messaging apps?
Yes, and for many small businesses that is where the sale actually closes. At La Roca, the customer picks stones, calculates the quantity, and sends the full order in one tap, no account or card required.
How long does a project for a small business take?
The Gold plan ships in 2 to 5 weeks. As a reference, La Roca’s catalog took 4 to 5 days and Atlantic’s software about a month and a half. We split large projects into phases, so you start using the first one while the next is being built.
