Resend (email API)

A service that lets a site or app send automatic emails, like purchase confirmations or alerts.

What is Resend, and how does my store send automatic emails without landing in spam?

Resend is an email delivery platform built for developers: the system asks it through an API to send a message, and Resend takes care of delivering it. It's used for transactional emails, the ones triggered by an action, like an approved payment or a shipped order.

To keep those emails out of spam, the sender's domain gets verified with DNS records called SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, which prove to mail servers that the message is legitimate.

Why it matters to your business

A confirmation email that never arrives creates doubt right after someone pays. Sending from your own domain, with the records set up correctly, makes your messages look professional and more likely to land in the inbox instead of getting filtered out.

How we use this at Damorus

URG Technology's emails go out through Resend with the domain verified via SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and the templates were built with React Email to look good even in dark mode. There's an email for every moment, from a pending payment and an approved payment with the order as a PDF, to shipping, an invitation to leave a review on Google Maps, and security alerts, and the admin can edit the wording from the dashboard without touching any code.
