Automation
Letting a program handle repetitive tasks on its own, like sending emails or calculating payments.
Which tasks in my business can be automated?
Automating means turning a business rule into something the system carries out on its own. "When a payment is approved, deduct the inventory and send the confirmation" is a rule; written into code, it happens at three in the morning the same as it does at noon.
Some automations react to an event, like an approved payment, and others run on a clock, like a check every two minutes. A good place to start is whatever a person today does by copying data from one place to another.
Why it matters to your business
Every repetitive task a person handles costs time and opens the door to mistakes that involve money, like a double charge or an account that does not add up. Automating frees your team to focus on customers and leaves a record of what happened.
How we use this at Damorus
In URG Technology a scheduled process checks every two minutes for expired reservations and releases the equipment on hold, and every payment approved through Mercado Pago triggers the stock deduction and the emails without anyone needing the dashboard open. In Atlantic Center the system builds the class calendar around holidays, calculates charges and late fees, and runs payroll for the teachers. In our plans, Gold includes basic automations, and Diamond puts no limit on them.
