Enterprise
An organization with departments, processes, and a budget, where several people rely on the same system.
What counts as a large enterprise in Colombia, and what kind of software does it need?
In our own language, an enterprise is an organization with processes, departments, and its own budget, where work passes through several people and several teams. In Colombia, Decree 957 of 2019 classifies businesses by their annual revenue from ordinary activities, measured in UVT (a Colombian tax-value unit that adjusts every year), with different thresholds for manufacturing, services, and trade.
Under that decree, a business counts as a large enterprise once it passes the medium-size threshold for its sector: 1,736,565 UVT in manufacturing, 483,034 UVT in services, and 2,160,692 UVT in trade. Since the UVT is updated every year, the peso equivalent changes too.
Why it matters to your business
In an enterprise, a system failure can stop an entire department, and a bad technology decision gets paid for over years. That is why things that a small business can put off start to matter, like role-based permissions, a record of every change, integrations with other systems, and a provider who documents what they build.
How we use this at Damorus
We build software and full digital projects for enterprises from Bogotá and Berlin, for clients in any country. For that scale there is our Diamond plan, with no ceiling and scoped to the project, and Corporate, billed only for the days worked, starting at $800.000 COP$200 USD€200 EUR a day. URG Technology's dashboard already has pieces an enterprise asks for, like view or edit permissions by module for several administrators, and a log of every critical action. We will cover this in detail on our page for enterprises.
