Conversion funnel

The steps a visitor goes through until buying or writing, used to see where people drop off.

What is a conversion funnel, and how do I know where I am losing customers?

It is called a funnel because fewer people make it through each stage: many see the page, fewer scroll down to the products, fewer still open a product page, and even fewer buy or send a message. Drawing it out this way shows exactly which step loses the most people.

Every business has its own funnel. For a store it ends at payment; for a catalog that closes sales over WhatsApp, at the message; for a services site, at the quote request; for a clinic, at the booked appointment.

Why it matters to your business

If you know at which stage your visitors leave, you know what to fix first. Losing people on the homepage is usually a messaging problem, while losing them at payment has more to do with trust and which payment methods are available.

How we use this at Damorus

In URG Technology the dashboard has an eight-level scroll funnel that logs how far each visitor scrolled down the homepage, from "landed and never moved" all the way to "reached the footer," and it measures cart abandonment at two separate moments. On La Roca the conversion audit walked the entire funnel: the arrival stage came out strong, and a critical trust gap showed up because there was no social proof visible.
